Borussia Dortmund have a plethora of players that could have featured on this list, which is a testament to their ability to find and develop some of the most talented youngsters in the world. They include the likes of: Thierry Fidjeu Tazemeta (Austria u16 international and recent addition from St Polten), Luca Reggiani (Italy u16 international and captain) Taycan Ectibasi (recently joined from Schalke) , Charles Herrmann (German u17 World Cup and Euros winner) and Jan-Luca Riedel (14 year old German already playing in the u17s), among others.

Dortmund have been excellent at maintaining their local youth development while shifting to the modern required business model of significant youth recruitment.
