Borussia Dortmund — LWWLL — 11th: Borussia Dortmund will have some new old faces back in the squad for this matchup. Following the Friday press conference, Niko Kovač delivered some good news regarding injuries. Daniel Svensson seems to be fully recovered from his knee ligament injury. The Swede will be available for selection, while Carney Chukwuemeka should be 100% recovered and will be at service but from the bench as well. The only guaranteed and notable absences are Felix Nmecha and Marcel Sabitzer; however, the German international is almost fit and should be available against Freiburg next weekend. Mané, Campbell, and Lotka are also out.

Mainz 05 — WWWWD — 3rd: Mainz 05 will be compromised at defense for this match at the Westfalenstadion. Both Dominik Kohr and Phillipp Mwene are out for the match with red and yellow card suspensions, respectively. The 33-year-old veteran Stefan Bell is also out due to a hamstring injury. Besides those players, Mainz should have all of their other starters available as they try to guarantee a Champions League spot for the first time in the club's history.
