Match Predictions

It is a match tough to predict because there is an element of unpredictability due to the first leg result. Since Dortmund will be playing with a very comfortable advantage, I believe it will be unlikely that Kovač decides to press high right off the gate. The Croatian is known for dictating his press through the middle and forcing his opponents to go wide, which could be again an invitation for a team with talented players in the flanks like Sporting.
As much as Dortmund needs to respond to the Bochum's defeat, I believe Sporting will try to take the lead once they have absolutely nothing else to lose. With BVB's shaky defense, I think the Lions will strike first, which could ignite some fear on our side. Even so, I believe Dortmund's offensive weapons will find a way to score in this game. With the aggregate score in our favor, I predict a nerve-wracking 2-2 draw for this second leg that will ultimately send us to the round of 16.
