Pre-Match Analysis: Dortmund travel to Bochum in little Revierderby

Niko Kovač will seek his first Bundesliga win with BVB as they head to bottom-table Bochum in what could be the last Derby for the foreseeable future.

Dortmund has struggled against opposition at the lower end of the table in recent years, so we shouldn’t expect this to be an easy win. However, BVB was organized against Sporting, and I expect Kovač to try to build on that success.

Bochum has a small stadium, but the crowd will be loud since this is a derby. It’s not quite at the same level of hype as the matches against Schalke, but there is still pride to be won from a match such as this, and those three points will be sweet upon victory. Brandt and Guirassy have been performing, and our reliable Schlotterbeck is back, too. Bochum is without Myron Boadu, who scored their last five goals. I think Dortmund will win this 4-1.
