Six BVB Academy Talents to Watch Closely

In the aging period of Borussia Dortmund, youthfulness will be a necessity in the coming years. Time to have a look at a list of some of the most exciting talents.

Diallo is another young talent who thrives in physicality and athleticism. Similar to Como's new star Assane Diao, Diallo is a pacy, versatile, and direct attacker. Capable of playing across the front-three, Diallo is a relentless runner who hangs off defenders' shoulders, constantly looking to stretch backlines with his speed, especially over longer distances.

Diallo is a large space dominator; his ability to build momentum when driving over large spaces elevates his game spectacularly. He takes on defenders with explosiveness and unpredictability, showing confidence on either foot and having a quick release in final actions when needed. Diallo operates instantly and leaves little chance for defenders to anticipate his actions.

He is a workhorse in the press and can be overzealous in challenges, but his eagerness to seize possession when possible is fantastic. He cuts across defenders well and applies his frame brilliantly. More of a rifler in ball-striking, but he will expand and have more variety, no doubt. Similar to the pathway situation in Kaba, I think his transition to first-team football (not necessarily at BVB) could go well due to how transcendent his transitional play is.
