Ivan Perišić (2011-2013)

For a brief spell at Bayern Munich, Ivan Perišić worked with Niko and Robert Kovac. Although the 2013 Champions League triumph surpassed his achievements with Dortmund, the current PSV winger won a domestic double with the Black and Yellows.

In his last season with Club Brugge, Perišić was a top-scorer and Player of the Season in Belgium. Following Borussia Dortmund’s first Bundesliga title in nine years, Klopp continued trusting youth with the future German captain İlkay Gündoğan and the 22-year-old Croatian hopeful joining their ranks.

Perišić’s first goal for Borussia Dortmund was a late equaliser against Arsenal in the Champions League. He also contributed to BVB’s latest Meisterschale with seven goals, including a thumping header in the memorable 4-4 draw against Stuttgart.

Just like his arrival, you can draw parallels with Petrić on the way he departed the club, however. After a row with Klopp over a lack of playing time in his second season, Perišić saw the exit door with a January move to Wolfsburg.

Perišić, who is still going strong at the age of 35, enjoyed a trophy-laden career that includes denying Klopp a farewell trophy in the 2013-14 DFB Pokal final.
