At last, it would be unfair not to cite Niko Kovač's role in taking a completely lost side in a tactical aspect, which was due to Sahin's confusing time at the club and transformed BVB into a competitive team in the league. In fact, Borussia Dortmund would probably have found a way to overcomplicate the last two league matches under the Turkish manager, as we have seen in older times.

However, things seem to be different with Kovač. He does not mainly make the team play engaging and aesthetic football, but he definitely makes this BVB side compete with a clear and solid structure. The Croatian has not only accomplished a good defensive upgrade in the past few weeks but also allowed ball-strikers like Guirassy and Adeyemi more outlets to attack the opponent's goal. And guess what? They scored goals and secured the three points, which is the most critical thing for Dortmund at this point in time.
