More Attacking Ideas Needed

Dortmund clearly struggled in the opening stages of the first half against Monchengladbach's pressing but one thing was clear, the team lacked ideas moving forward. Often times, they try to build up the attack through Serhou Guirassy who has to drop deep and help out holding the ball.

However, it feels as though we have no one else to rely on given the lacklustre movement from the wingers as well as midfield's technical ability. Maximilian Beier's subsitution in the first half paid dividends for us as his replacement, Carney Chukwuemeka, offered the forwards more space and enabled us to score three times in the space of less than five minutes. It was an impressive eight minutes, but Borussia Dortmund need more creativity if they have hopes of reaching Europe.
