It shouldn’t come as a surprise that these two were voted on by fans.

From a total of 42 contenders chosen by EA FC, fans were given the chance to vote on the players they believed deserved this title: the best of the season.

The first Borussia Dortmund player selected was Serhou Guirassy, the Guinean forward who has been a goal-scoring machine. Guirassy has scored 33 goals in 45 matches with an additional nine assists to bout. He’s played over 3,700 minutes in all competitions and has been in fine form lately, scoring Dortmund’s fourth against Bayer Leverkusen last week. Guirassy is joined in this title by Bayern Münich’s Harry Kane, the only player to score more league goals than Guirassy this season, and Eintracht Frankfurt’s Hugo Ekitiké. Guirassy was chosen ahead of fellow forward nominees, Mohamed Amoura, Jonathan Burkardt, Tim Kleindienst, Lois Openda, Patrik Schick, Benjamin Sesko, and Nick Woltemade.

The second Borussia Dortmund player selected in the EA FC Bundesliga Team of the Season isNico Schlotterbeck. Schlotti recorded nearly 3,300 minutes for Dortmund this season before tearing his meniscus, which ended his season prematurely. Though even with this setback, Nico Schlotterbeck was so influential that his fans still voted him into the Team of the Season. Schlotterbeck is joined in this accolade by Bayer Leverkusen’s Jonathan Tah and Bayern Münich’s Dayot Upamecano and Alphonso Davies. The defensive nominees who were not at lucky were Nathaniel Brown, Jeremie Frimpong, Alejandro Grimaldo, Piero Hincapié, Minjae Kim, Rasmus Kristensen, Maximilian Mittelstadt, and Willi Orban.

Borussia Dortmund’s midfield unsurprisingly did not receive any nominations for the EA FC Team of the Season.

The full EA FC Team of the Season for 24/25 is as follows: Robin Zentner; Jonathan Tah, Dayot Upamecano; Nico Schlotterbeck, Alphonso Davies; Florian Wirtz, Jamal Musiala, Michael Olise; Hugo Ekitike, Harry Kane, Serhou Guirassy.
