According to Sky Sports journalist Patrick Berger, Borussia Dortmund tried to make a move ahead of Eintracht Frankfurt for the signing of Jobe Bellingham. As the race looks tighter and tighter, the Black and Yellows' boss, Hans-Joachim Watzke, went personally to England on Sunday in order to convince the Englishman and his family to move to Dortmund.

The idea came following Watzke and BVB found out about Jobe's visiting Frankfurt today, and wanted to counter the Eagles in the transfer poker game. As Jobe Bellingham is yet to make a decision about his future, Frankfurt and Dortmund look like the most probable destinations for Jude Bellingham's young brother.

Following today's visit, though, Frankfurt surpassed BVB and now reportedly lead the race, as reported by Sky Sports journalist Florian Plettenberg. Markus Krösche himself and his team took Bellingham and his parents around the city, the stadium, and the club offices today. Frankfurt's coaching staff clearly pointed out where Jobe is supposed to play, as he is expected to become a key player with Champions League football ahead.

Eintracht Frankfurt have a very good feeling now, with the only potential problem being the transfer fee, while Dortmund will fight for him until the end. RB Leipzig are outsiders in this dispute, but the Bulls haven't received a formal rejection yet, as the player wants to make a decision this week. It is an open race after all, and Jobe Bellingham will either repeat his brother's footsteps in Dortmund or create his own in Frankfurt.
