Lukasz Piszczek (4/10)

Starting on the right of a back three, Piszczek did not have the best of games. He couldn’t keep up with Vargas’ pace for Augsburg’s opener and wasn’t able to close down Philipp Max quickly enough before the home side’s third. He was then replaced by Erling Haaland, who went on to score a hat-trick.

Mats Hummels (6.5/10)

Hummels had a much better game than the two centre-backs. He made some important recoveries and tackles for his team, but could have done a better job of marking Niederlechner for Augsburg’s opener. He also assisted Borussia Dortmund’s equaliser with an excellent over the top through ball for Jadon Sancho.

Manuel Akanji (4.5/10)

Akanji did not have the best of games and often looked far too sloppy in defence. He gave the ball away and then failed to close down Marco Richter for Augsburg’s second. Might be time for Favre to drop him and give Balerdi a chance.
