February 01: Home to Union Berlin (Bundesliga)

Borussia Dortmund host Union Berlin in their first game of the month. The capital side handed the Black and Yellows a humiliating 3-1 defeat when the two sides met back in August. It was Union Berlin’s first ever Bundesliga win, and they have gone from strength to strength since then.

Borussia Dortmund have been bolstered by the arrival of Erling Haaland, and seem to be scoring for fun at the moment. But Union Berlin will be determined to pull off another upset, this time at the Westfalenstadion.

Urs Fischer’s side have scored just 23 league goals so far this season. But their attack is led by Sebastian Andersson, who is a very capable striker, and has eight goals and two assists to his name this season. Andersson scored one, and assisted another in Union Berlin’s 3-1 win over Dortmund in the reverse fixture.

While former Dortmund centre-back Neven Subotic will be looking to spoil the party on his return to the Westfalenstadion.
