Thomas Meunier

Signing Paris St. Germain right back Thomas Meunier would probably be the best case scenario for Borussia Dortmund. The 28 year old is considered to be one of the best right-backs in Europe, is in his prime and would arrive on a free transfer.

Meunier is also someone who would offer more defensive consistency than Achraf Hakimi. He is capable of playing both as a right-back and a wing-back. He works hard for the team and is a potent threat going forward, as he has proven over the years for both PSG and the Belgium national team.

He has been heavily linked with a move to Borussia Dortmund in recent weeks, however, negotiations have come to a halt due to the coronavirus pandemic. The player also recently revealed that his “main objective is to stay in Paris”. That could have just been a tactic to put some pressure on the BVB bosses, or it could have been a sign for them to look elsewhere.
