Tomas Esteves

Another young full-back who is rated very highly, Tomas Esteves is attracting the interest of some of Europe’s biggest clubs. Esteves has only just turned 18, but he is already considered to be the next big thing in Portuguese football.

The FC Porto youngster has a release clause of 10 million euros, which Borussia Dortmund are reportedly willing to trigger.

Esteves has all the ingredients to become a top right-back for a big club in the future. He already has great technical ability, is a good passer of the ball, and has endless energy to make forward runs and offer an offensive presence to the team. Like Hakimi, Esteves is capable of causing problems from out wide as well as cutting in and hurting opposition defenders from midfield.

He may not be ready to become a regular starter from the outset, but he can learn a lot from the likes of Lukasz Piszczek and Marcel Schmelzer, before making that right-back spot his own for years to come.
