Borussia Dortmund linked with move for Barcelona centre-back Jean-Clair Todibo

Borussia Dortmund have reportedly joined the race to sign Barcelona centre back Jean-Clair Todibo, with a number of Premier League sides also interested.
Kicker reported on Saturday that Borussia Dortmund could become active in the transfer market once again to sign a new centre back if an economically feasible and sensible opportunity arises before Monday’s deadline. Now the reliable Gerard Romero of Catalan radio station RAC 1 claims that the Black and Yellows have joined the race to sign Barcelona defender Jean-Clair Todibo.
Newly promoted English Premier League side Fulham have made an offer worth 18 million euros to sign Todibo, but so far haven’t been able to convince him to join. Barcelona are keen to sell him in order to fund a move for Manchester City’s Eric Garcia.
Todibo spent the second half of last season on loan with Borussia Dortmund’s arch-rivals Schalke 04 and had an altercation with Erling Haaland when the two sides met in May. Despite Schalke’s woes in the second half of the season, he was one of their best performers in ten appearances for the Royal Blues.
It remains to be seen if Borussia Dortmund would like to sign him on loan or permanently, or even if their interest in signing the 20 year old is real. But those in charge at the club have been adamant that they have no money left to bring in new signings.
Borussia Dortmund have made three signings so far in this transfer window, bringing in Thomas Meunier, Jude Bellingham and Reinier Jesus (on loan).
