Erling Haaland is in line to make his return to the side on Wednesday. And he will have his sights set on further improving his already exceptional Champions League record. The 20 year old has 12 goals in ten Champions League appearances, and don’t be surprised if he finds the net against Club Brugge.
Gio Reyna endured a rough evening last week against Zenit. He looks set to return to the starting XI against Club Brugge, and it will be interesting to see how he fares. The last time Reyna had a bad game, he responded by getting a hat-trick of assists on his next start. And if he shows a similar response this time around, Borussia Dortmund will certainly fancy their chances of getting the three points.
Journalist Claudio Reulens believes that the arrival of Simon Mignolet in goal has bolstered Club Brugge, and the former Liverpool man has been performing very well. “But their most important player is Hans Vanaken, who has scored six goals so far this season. He is the creative mind of the team. With the speed and dribbling of Bonaventure Dennis and Krepin Diatta, Bruges can be very dangerous. But Dortmund is still the favourite”, Reulens adds.
