Team News

Borussia Dortmund will be sweating on the fitness of Mats Hummels, who missed the game against Club Brugge with a thigh injury. A decision on the former Bayern Munich centre-back’s fitness is not likely to be made until the day of the game, Ruhr Nachrichten say. If Hummels cannot play, one of Axel Witsel and Thomas Delaney will likely fill in at centre-back.

Although Emre Can is back in training after missing the previous four games, and could be in the squad, although the chances of him starting are slim. Dan Axel Zagadou and Marcel Schmelzer remain out for the Black and Yellows.

Bayern Munich will have to make do without Alphonso Davies, who is out with an ankle ligament injury. While Niklas Süle is in quarantine after testing positive for COVID-19.
