Midifeld: Axel Witsel, Jude Bellingham

Axel Witsel should return to the team after being rested on Tuesday. The Belgian international had a decent game last weekend against Hertha Berlin, although his defensive qualities will not be as important against a team like Köln.

Mahmoud Dahoud started last weekend, but was rested on Tuesday, when Jude Bellingham ran the show from the heart of midfield. The England international’s excellent performance against Club Brugge should be enough to earn him a spot in the starting XI.

With Emre Can, Thomas Delaney, Julian Brandt also in the mix, Lucien Favre has a tough decision to make ahead of Saturday’s game. Almost all of Borussia Dortmund’s midfielders are in good form at the moment, and it could come down to the players’ fitness levels going into the game.
