Borussia Dortmund are reportedly willing to let Julian Brandt depart on loan this month, while Nico Schulz is free to leave on a permanent transfer.

According to BILD, Borussia Dortmund do not want to sell Julian Brandt in the January transfer window. But they would be open to loaning him to another club so he can get more playing time. The tabloid says there is hope in Dortmund that the German international can live up to his potential at the club.

Brandt has been limited to just ten starts so far this season. He has just one goal and one assist to his name in 22 appearances in all competitions. His progress has been limited due to a lack of fixed position and inconsistent performances. Brandt joined Borussia Dortmund from Bayer Leverkusen for 25 million euros in 2019. He has been linked with a move to Arsenal in the last few weeks, with reports in England claiming that the Premier League side could make an offer for the 24 year old in the January transfer window.

Michael Zorc said last week that there has so far been no contact between Borussia Dortmund and Arsenal over the potential transfer of Julian Brandt.

One player who is free to leave Borussia Dortmund permanently this month is Nico Schulz. The left-back has found playing time hard to come by this season. And BILD claim that the Black and Yellows are open to selling him should a suitable offer arrive. Schulz moved to Dortmund from TSG Hoffenheim in 2019, but has made just eight appearances so far this season.
