Second half goals from Jadon Sancho and Erling Haaland (x2) helped Borussia Dortmund earn a vital 3-1 win away to RB Leipzig 3-1.

After a cagey first-half which saw them fail to register a shot, Borussia Dortmund turned on the style (as they so often do) in the second-half. Jadon Sancho opened the scoring for the Black and Yellows after some good work from Erling Haaland and Marco Reus. The Englishman then turned provider for Haaland, who made it 2-0.

Haaland then rounded the goalkeeper to net his second successive brace at the Red Bull Arena after being played through by Marco Reus. Alexander Sørloth pulled a goal back for Leipzig late on, but Borussia Dortmund got the all important three points.

The win puts Borussia Dortmund back in title contention. Edin Terzic’s side are now just five points behind league leaders Bayern Munich, with more than half of the season still to go. Here are our player ratings for the Borussia Dortmund players from their win over RB Leipzig.

Roman Bürki (6/10)

For all of Leipzig’s possession, Bürki was barely tested. He did not stand much of a chance with the late Leipzig goal, but will feel disappointed to have missed out on a second straight clean sheet.
