Erling Haaland and Jadon Sancho both enjoyed record breaking evenings at the Red Bull Arena on Saturday as Borussia Dortmund earned a 3-1 win over RB Leipzig.

Goals from Jadon Sancho and Erling Haaland helped Borussia Dortmund earn a vital 3-1 win over top four rivals RB Leipzig on Saturday. Sancho continued his return to form with a goal and an assist, while Haaland scored a brace and also helped set up the opener for the Englishman. And Borussia Dortmund’s dynamic duo made history with their goals as they beat two long-standing records during the win.

  • Youngest player to score 32 Bundesliga goals: Jadon Sancho’s opener against RB Leipzig was his 32nd Bundesliga goal for Borussia Dortmund. The forward became the youngest ever player to reach the mark at the age of just 20 years and 289 days. He beat the record held by Klaus Fischer, who is the second highest scorer in Bundesliga history.
  • Fastest to hit 25 league goals: Erling Haaland’s brace saw him take his tally in the Bundesliga to 25 goals in just 25 matches. No player in Bundesliga history has reached the 25 goal mark quicker than Haaland. The previous record of most goals after 25 Bundesliga matches was held by the legendary Uwe Seeler with 23 goals. Haaland’s 25 goals in the Bundesliga have come from just 73 shots, giving him an incredible conversion rate of 34.24%.

Erling Haaland now has 12 goals in just 10 Bundesliga appearances this season, and averages 69 minutes per goal. While Sancho has two goals and six assists in 13 Bundesliga appearances, and has scored and assisted in each of his last two games.
