Borussia Dortmund are back in action on Sunday as they host Mainz on matchday 16 in the Bundesliga, looking to build on their back to back wins.

Borussia Dortmund will have the chance to extend their winning run to four games as they go up against Mainz on Saturday. The Black and Yellows have made an impressive start to the new year, earning vital wins over Wolfsburg and RB Leipzig. After playing two games a week from September to December, Dortmund have finally had the chance to work more on the training ground in recent weeks. And the hard work is already paying dividends on the pitch.

Borussia Dortmund will be without three first team players against Mainz 05, with Axel Witsel, Thorgan Hazard and Marcel Schmelzer set to miss the game due to injuries. It will be interesting to see if Edin Terzic makes some changes to the team, with Tuesday’s game against Bayer Leverkusen in mind. Here is a look at how Borussia Dortmund could line up.

Goalkeeper: Roman Bürki

Roman Bürki will be in goal on Saturday as Dortmund host Mainz. He isn’t likely to have a ton of work to do, but he will need to be alert on counter attacks as Mainz will look to sit deep and hit Dortmund on the counter.
