Mateu Morey (4.5/10)

Morey had a few encouraging moments going forward, but really struggled defensively. Antwi-Adjei caused him all sorts of problems, before he was subbed off at half time due to illness.

Thomas Delaney (7.5/10)

Delaney continued his good form and was Borussia Dortmund’s creator in chief against Paderborn. The Dane set up two of the three goals and could have easily ended the evening with a hat-trick of assists. He was solid on the other of the pitch as well, with his only blemish coming just before Paderborn’s opener, when he was beaten way too easily by Justvan. Other than that, it was another impressive performance from Delaney.

Jude Bellingham (5.5/10)

Bellingham wasn’t as involved as he would have liked in the first half, but still looked active and promising every time he got forward. He showed glimpses of his quality before being replaced by Mahmoud Dahoud.

Nico Schulz (4/10)

It was the same old story with Nico Schulz, who got into some really good positions but his decision making was woeful. He had a golden opportunity to score in the first half but fluffed his shot. He looked nervous on the ball at times. And then he left way too much space in the 79th minute, allowing for the cross to come in before Paderborn’s first goal.
