Squad planning for the new season is already underway at Borussia Dortmund, with the BVB bosses busy scouting for potential transfer targets. According to SportBILD, the Black and Yellows will look to bolster their squad by signing a new centre-back and wide players in the summer transfer window.

The magazine claims that Michael Zorc and Sebastian Kehl have already held discussions with incoming head coach Marco Rose about areas that need improving in the transfer window. And the 44 year old supports their plan to bring in a new central defender and wide players. A new goalkeeper could also arrive in the summer, but a final decision has not yet been made.

The magazine claims that Peter Gulacsi remains Borussia Dortmund’s ideal candidate. But Inter Milan are also said to be interested in signing the RB Leipzig goalkeeper, and will be able to offer him a higher salary.

In terms of departures, it remains to be seen if Jadon Sancho will still be at Borussia Dortmund next season. But Der BVB have no plans to sell Erling Haaland in the summer.

Borussia Dortmund made contact with Marco Rose in December

SportBILD also claim that Borussia Dortmund first made contact with Marco Rose just after Christmas last year. And the Gladbach trainer made his decision to join the club two weeks ago. Rose will move to the Signal Iduna Park on a three year contract in the summer, and will earn an annual salary of 4.5 million euros.
