Team News

Borussia Dortmund will be without the injured Manuel Akanji, Axel Witsel and Marcel Schmelzer, while Thomas Delaney is a doubt going into the game. The Dane missed the game against Arminia Bielefeld with a fever, and also did not take part in training on Sunday. It remains to be seen if he will be fit in time to play against Gladbach. Edin Terzic confirmed during his pre-match press conference that a decision on Delaney’s availability will be made after Tuesday’s training session.

Thorgan Hazard and Dan-Axel Zagadou could also be in with a chance to start on Tuesday, having made their returns off the bench at the weekend.

Marco Rose should be able to count on the fitness of the majority of his Gladbach squad, and is expected to continue to rotate his squad.

Expected Lineups

Borussia Mönchengladbach: Sippel – Ginter, Zakaria, Elvedi – Lazaro, Kramer, Neuhaus, Bensebaini – Stindl – Thuram, Plea

Borussia Dortmund: Hitz – Meunier, Can, Hummels, Guerreiro – Dahoud, Bellingham – Sancho, Reus, Brandt, Haaland
