CONFIRMED Borussia Dortmund starting lineup for Bundesliga clash against Bayern Munich
By Tushar Bahl
Borussia Dortmund will be aiming to continue their excellent run of form this weekend as they make the trip to Bayern Munich. The Black and Yellows haven’t won at the Allianz Arena since 2017, but will feel that they have a good chance of ending that poor run this weekend.
Beating Bayern Munich certainly won’t be easy though, with the Bavarians sitting at the top of the Bundesliga standings and Robert Lewandowski scoring goals for fun this season.
Borussia Dortmund will have to make do without Jadon Sancho and Raphael Guerreiro, after both suffered muscle injuries in the DFB-Pokal quarterfinal against Borussia Mönchengladbach on Tuesday. Manuel Akanji and Gio Reyna will also miss the game along with long-term absentees Axel Witsel and Marcel Schmelzer.
Here we take a look at how Borussia Dortmund’s CONFIRMED starting XI for Der Klassiker.
Goalkeeper: Marwin Hitz
Marwin Hitz will once again start in goal after taking over as the new first choice goalkeeper from Roman Bürki. The 33 year old has kept three clean sheets in a row, but could be in for a busy evening on Saturday against the world-class Bayern attack.
