Thomas Delaney (6/10)

Delaney quietly went about his job and shielded the defence well. He was aggressive and put a solid shift in. But he did not offer much in the build-up play and wasn’t as strong in his duels as he usually is.

Jude Bellingham (7.5/10)

While Haaland will no doubt make the headlines, Bellingham also delivered an excellent performance in midfield. The 17 year old showed no signs of nerves and battled hard for his team. He was full of commitment, won the majority of his duels, and played with an impeccable work-rate. He also came close to scoring the goal of the season, but his overhead kick went just wide of the goal.

Mahmoud Dahoud (7/10)

Dahoud continued his fine run of form with another impressive performance in midfield. He helped set up the opener with a gorgeous outside of the boot pass to find Marco Reus. He was heavily involved in the attacking play and never stopped running. Although he did miss a glorious chance to make it 3-1 and seal the win late on.
