Borussia Dortmund player ratings vs Hertha Berlin: Brandt, Moukoko on target in 2-0 win
By Tushar Bahl
Jude Bellingham (7.5/10)
Bellingham put in another lively and energetic display, showing how good he is in both defence and attack. He made a number of important tackles and always looked to drive the ball forward from midfield. He had the best chance of the game in the first half, but Jarstein made an excellent save to deny him. He looked a little tired after the break, but still dominated the midfield battle for Borussia Dortmund.
Mahmoud Dahoud (6/10)
Dahoud played in a slightly deeper number six role in the absence of Delaney, and wasn’t as involved in the Borussia Dortmund attack as he would have liked. He still looked sharp, played some good passes and also hit the crossbar in the second half.
Julian Brandt (7/10)
Brandt worked hard and ran his heart out for the team. He wasn’t able to cause any problems to the Hertha defence in the first half but gave Borussia Dortmund the lead with a rocket from 30 yards out in the 54th minute. Hopefully, that goal will give him the confidence he needs to start performing at the level we know he is capable of.
