Borussia Dortmund are reportedly considering selling Julian Brandt in the summer. According to BILD, the BVB bosses would be open to letting him leave in the summer if they receive an offer in the range of 25 million euros.

Brandt joined Borussia Dortmund from Bayer Leverkusen for a fee of 25 million euros in 2019. While the German international has shown glimpses of his talent over the last 18 months, he has not been able to deliver quality performances on a consistent basis.

In 77 appearances for Borussia Dortmund, Brandt has been limited to just ten goals and 14 assists. Being forced to play out of position at times has not helped his cause. But the 24 year old will know that he hasn’t made enough of an impact since joining the Black and Yellows.

Brandt is enduring a difficult season so far, and has also been dropped from the Germany squad for their upcoming World Cup qualifiers. His chances of being named in the squad for this summer’s European Championships appear to be bleak.

BILD add that there is still hope that Brandt will be able to turn things around at Borussia Dortmund. The midfielder found the net with a long range effort in the win over Hertha Berlin last weekend. And he will now be hoping to build on that goal in the coming weeks.

dark. Next. Four players who left Borussia Dortmund too soon

Brandt still has more than three years left on his Borussia Dortmund contract. His future will likely depend on whether incoming head coach Marco Rose considers him to be a part of his plans. If not, he could well be on the move in the summer.
