Borussia Dortmund trio Erling Haaland, Thomas Meunier and Thorgan Hazard all celebrated wins with their national teams on Tuesday evening.

After missing last week’s game against the Czech Republic due to quarantine restrictions, Borussia Dortmund duo Thomas Meunier and Thorgan Hazard returned to the Belgium starting XI for their FIFA World Cup qualifier against Belarus. The Red Devils enjoyed a thumping 8-0 win to extend their lead at the top of Group E.

Meunier and Hazard played as the two wing-backs and were on the pitch for the entirety of the game. Meunier set up Hans Vanaken’s goal in the 17th minute with an excellent cross from the right wing. Six players were on target for Belgium, including former Borussia Dortmund striker Michy Batshuayi.

Erling Haaland started once again for Norway, as they returned to winning ways with a 1-0 victory over Montenegro. RB Leipzig striker Alexander Sørloth scored what proved to be the winner for Norway in the 35th minute.

Youssoufa Moukoko missed out through injury as the Germany U-21s qualified for the knockout rounds of the European Championship with a goalless draw against Romania. The Borussia Dortmund striker suffered his injury during training in the lead-up to the tournament and has had to miss all three group games as a result.

The knockout rounds will take place at the end of the season, and Moukoko will be aiming to make his Germany U-21s debut then.
