Team News

Borussia Dortmund will have to make do without former Manchester City winger Jadon Sancho. The England international will definitely miss the first leg, and is also a doubt for next week’s second leg. Also missing for Edin Terzic’s side will be highly rated striker Youssoufa Moukoko, who suffered an injury while on international duty with the Germany U-21s.

Long-term absentees Dan-Axel Zagadou, Axel Witsel and Marcel Schmelzer also remain out.

Manchester City do not have any injury concerns to deal with at the moment. They should have their entire squad available for selection. Ilkay Gündogan will go up against Borussia Dortmund for the first time since his 2016 move to Manchester City.

Expected Lineups

Manchester City: Ederson – Walker, Stones, Dias, Cancelo – de Bruyne, Rodri, Gündogan – Silva, Aguero, Sterling

Borussia Dortmund: Hitz – Morey, Akanji, Hummels, Guerreiro – Delaney, Can, Dahoud – Reus, Hazard – Haaland
