Borussia Dortmund will once again be without Jadon Sancho for this weekend’s game against Werder Bremen, as he continues his recovery from the muscle injury he suffered in early March. This is being reported by Ruhr Nachrichten, who add that the forward could realistically make his return to the team for next weekend’s six-pointer against VfL Wolfsburg.

Sancho has been training individually since last Sunday, and Borussia Dortmund are hopeful that he will be able to start training with the team again next week. The England international has been forced to miss each of the last eight games due to a muscle injury. And his absence has certainly been felt in the BVB attack.

The Black and Yellows may also have to make do without Thomas Delaney for Sunday’s game against Werder Bremen. The defensive midfielder hasn’t been able to train with the team since the Stuttgart game last weekend, and missed Wednesday’s clash against Manchester City with an achilles tendon injury.

Ruhr Nachrichten report that it remains to be seen if the Denmark international will be able to face his former club this weekend.

Three crunch Bundesliga matches now await Borussia Dortmund over a seven-day period. Edin Terzic’s side host Werder Bremen on Sunday, and then go up against Union Berlin on Wednesday, before taking on VfL Wolfsburg next weekend. The three games could have a major say in deciding whether they play Champions League football next season.
