The last time these two sides met was back in December. In what was Edin Terzic’s first game in charge following the sacking of Lucien Favre, Borussia Dortmund earned a narrow 2-1 win away to Werder Bremen.
The Black and Yellows made a bright start and took the lead in the first half through Raphael Guerreiro. The lead was short-lived though, as Kevin Möhwald equalised for Werder Bremen at the half hour mark.
Borussia Dortmund dominated the game but had to wait until the 78th minute to score the winner. And the goal arrived through Marco Reus, who turned home the rebound after Jiri Pavlenka had saved his initial penalty kick.

It is fair to say that Werder Bremen are going through a rough patch at the moment. But they usually step it up against Borussia Dortmund. And don’t be surprised if they put in a strong performance on Sunday.
