Mino Raiola has hinted that he could try and push for Erling Haaland to leave Borussia Dortmund this summer, with a number of big clubs interested in his signature. In an interview with Spanish newspaper Diario AS, Haaland’s agent said:

"“What we know as of today is that Dortmund spoke extremely solemnly to us and said: “We are not selling him”. That’s the situation, definitely. That’s what they’ve said. Now let’s see if that desire is still there through to the 1st of September. Today, the official stance of Dortmund is this. But I’ve got another view, I think that if a good opportunity comes up and everyone would be happy, we’ll put it on the table.”"

Borussia Dortmund have been adamant that Haaland will not be allowed to leave this summer, regardless of whether or not they qualify for next season’s UEFA Champions League. Both Michael Zorc and Hans-Joachim Watzke have issued strong statements in recent weeks, saying that they are planning with the striker for next season. They also made their stance clear to Raiola when the two parties met on March 31.

But speculation linking Haaland with a move away from Borussia Dortmund continues to persist. Raiola further fuelled the speculation last month by traveling to Spain along with Haaland’s father to meet with Barcelona and Real Madrid officials.

Raiola also told AS that all the big clubs are interested in signing Haaland, and it may be hard to say no to teams like Barcelona or Real Madrid. “When a club like Barcelona or Real Madrid comes in for you, with so much history and being such a big club, it’s hard to say no. All 14 big clubs want him, yes. Now it’s important to know which is the best option.”

Haaland still has more than three years left on his Borussia Dortmund contract, so the Black and Yellows aren’t under any pressure to sell him this summer. There is said to be a release clause in his contract, which will come into effect at the end of next season.

Haaland joined Borussia Dortmund from RB Salzburg in January 2020, and has scored 53 goals in just 56 appearances for the club. Raiola added that the 20 year old is only interested in two things, scoring goals and winning titles.
