Previous Meeting: RB Leipzig 1-3 Borussia Dortmund

Jadon Sancho, Erling Haaland and Marco Reus were the stars of the show as Borussia Dortmund earned an impressive 3-1 win away to RB Leipzig in the reverse fixture.

Following a cagey first half, the Black and Yellows came to life in the second. Jadon Sancho opened the scoring after some really good play by Erling Haaland and Marco Reus. Sancho then turned provider for Haaland, as the Norwegian international headed home from close range to double his side’s advantage in the 71st minute.

Haaland then rounded the goalkeeper to make it 3-0 after being played through on goal by Marco Reus.

RB Leipzig pulled a goal back in the 89th minute through Alexander Sörloth. But the goal proved to be nothing more than a consolation, as Borussia Dortmund cruised to an impressive win.

The game also saw Axel Witsel suffer a torn achilles tendon, which ruled him out until the end of the season.
