Midfielders: Mahmoud Dahoud, Jude Bellingham

With Borussia Dortmund set to have the majority of the ball, Edin Terzic has gone with a two-man midfield for the game against Mainz.

Mahmoud Dahoud is in excellent form going into the game, and played a vital role in both wins against RB Leipzig. His all-round play will be crucial to Borussia Dortmund’s chances of getting the three points against an in-form Mainz side.

Jude Bellingham was subbed off at half-time after picking up a yellow card in the DFB-Pokal final. He will be in the starting XI again on Sunday. Like Akanji, Bellingham is also on four yellow cards for the season. If he is booked against Mainz, he will miss the Leverkusen clash next weekend.
