Edin Terzic has said that he will think about his future next week, as rumours continue to link him with a move away from Borussia Dortmund.

The lead up to Borussia Dortmund’s final game of the season has been dominated by speculation about Edin Terzic’s future. Multiple reports in Germany claim that Terzic has already turned down the Eintracht Frankfurt job. But he is also said to be attracting interest from clubs in the English Premier League, including Tottenham Hotspur.

Terzic spoke about his future during the pre-match press conference ahead of Borussia Dortmund’s game against Bayer Leverkusen.

"“I have said from the beginning that I only want to concentrate on achieving our goals. And I’m extremely happy that we were able to do it last Sunday. I made the decision then that I will use this week to be happy about it. And I will use next week to think about things.”“This has one big advantage: There will be no more press conferences – and I won’t have to answer any more questions.”"

Terzic took over as Borussia Dortmund head coach after Lucien Favre was sacked in December. He endured a difficult start, but then sparked an incredible turnaround. The 38 year old led the Black and Yellows to the DFB-Pokal title last week, and also helped them secure a place in the Bundesliga top four.

Marco Rose will take over as Borussia Dortmund head coach ahead of the start of the new season. As it stands, Terzic will be a part of his coaching staff. But that could still change in the coming days. While the BVB bosses want to keep Terzic at the club, they have repeatedly said that they would be open to talks if he wants to take on another job.

Terzic also said during Thursday’s press conference that he knows the advantages of both roles, and he can very well imagine stepping back into the role of co-trainer next season.
