Eleven Borussia Dortmund players called up for Euro 2020

A total of eleven Borussia Dortmund players have been called up by their respective national teams for the upcoming European Championships.

Germany have named Mats Hummels and Emre Can in their 26-man squad for the Euros. Hummels is back in the Germany squad after a two year absence. The 2014 World Cup winners will go up against France, Portugal and Hungary in the group stage of the Euros.

Belgium have named Borussia Dortmund trio Axel Witsel, Thorgan Hazard and Thomas Meunier in their 26-man Euro 2020 squad. Witsel is currently working his way back towards full fitness after suffering a torn achilles tendon in January. A decision on whether or not he can play in the Euros will be made on June 11. Belgium are in Group B, where they will face Denmark, Finland and Russia.

Jadon Sancho and Jude Bellingham have both been named in England’s 26-man squad for the European Championships. The Three Lions will take on Croatia, Scotland and Czech Republic in the group stage.

Raphael Guerreiro has been included in Portugal’s 26-man squad. The defending champions will take on France, Germany and Hungary in the group stage. Switzerland have named their 26-man squad for the Euros, and Manuel Akanji and Gregor Kobel have been included. They are in Group A and will face Turkey, Italy and Wales in the group stage.

Denmark have named Thomas Delaney in their 26-man squad. The Danes will go up against Belgium, Finland and Russia in the group stage.

The European Championships get underway on June 11 and the final of the tournament will take place on July 11. A total of 24 teams will take part in the Euros, and matches will be held in 11 host cities.
