Switzerland go up against Turkey in their final Euro 2020 group stage game on Sunday in what will be a do or die clash for both teams.

With one draw and one defeat from their opening two games, Switzerland go into their game against Turkey knowing that anything other than a win would mark the end of their Euro 2020 campaign. Switzerland’s poor goal difference further complicates things for them. And their underperforming forwards will certainly have to step up on Sunday.

Turkey are in a similar position, having suffered defeats against both Italy and Wales. Senol Günes’ side were labeled as one of the dark horses by many ahead of the tournament. But it is fair to say that they have underperformed. Even a win on Sunday may not be enough for Turkey, with only the top four third-placed teams qualifying for the round of 16.

Two Borussia Dortmund players could be involved for Switzerland against Turkey. Manuel Akanji is set to start in defence, while new signing Gregor Kobel will likely be on the bench.
