Mino Raiola in line to receive 30% of the Donyell Malen fee from PSV, making negotiations difficult

PSV Eindhoven will reportedly have to pay 30% of the fee they receive for Donyell Malen to his agent Mino Raiola. And transfer negotiations with Borussia Dortmund are proving to be difficult as a result.
Donyell Malen is Borussia Dortmund’s top target to replace Jadon Sancho, who is set to seal a move to Manchester United. However, negotiations between Borussia Dortmund and PSV Eindhoven seem to have stalled with Mino Raiola’s consultant fee reportedly an issue.
According to Ruhr Nachrichten, Raiola had a consultant clause put into Malen’s contract when the highly rated forward joined PSV Eindhoven from Arsenal in 2017. The clause entitles Raiola to 30% of a future transfer fee. So if PSV receive 30 million euros for Malen this summer, they would have to directly pay nine million euros to Raiola. The newspaper adds that Arsenal will also earn some money from Malen’s sale, and their percentage is said to be in the low single digit range.
But before a transfer can take place, Borussia Dortmund and PSV still have to agree to a fee. The Black and Yellows have already reached an agreement over personal terms with Malen. However, they are not willing to meet the Dutch side’s asking price of 30 million euros. According to the Eindhovens Dagblad, Borussia Dortmund are expected to make an official bid for Malen in the coming days.
Liverpool are also interested in signing Donyell Malen this summer. But the 22 year old is said to prefer a move to Borussia Dortmund. Ruhr Nachrichten report that Malen sees BVB as the perfect next step for his career.
