Borussia Dortmund: Marco Rose comments on Thomas Delaney exit rumours

Thomas Delaney is being heavily linked with a move to Sevilla, and Marco Rose spoke about the rumours on Monday.
A report from Danish broadcaster TV 2 Sport claimed on Sunday that Thomas Delaney is on the verge of completing a move to Spanish side Sevilla. Marco Rose was asked about the rumour during Monday’s press conference, and denied that the Denmark international is close to leaving Borussia Dortmund.
"“Thomas is a BVB player and we do not like to comment on rumors. I can say in this case that I have not received any information in any shape or form and so there is nothing more to say.”"
Thomas Delaney’s Borussia Dortmund future remains uncertain, with less than one year left on his contract. Ruhr Nachrichten reported earlier this month that all signs currently point to the midfielder leaving this summer.
With just over two weeks remaining before the transfer window closes, Borussia Dortmund will want to sort Delaney’s future as soon as possible.
Delaney, who impressed for Denmark at the European Championships, has no shortage of clubs interested in signing him. The English Premier League has long been his preferred destination.
But Sevilla are said to be leading the race for his signature. The Spanish side have concrete interest in signing Delaney, and Ruhr Nachrichten report that they are in negotiations with Borussia Dortmund over a transfer for the midfielder. But Kicker claim that the Black and Yellows have yet to receive an official bid from Sevilla.
Delaney has come off the bench in both of Borussia Dortmund’s first two games of the season. And he will likely be in the squad once again on Tuesday, as the Black and Yellows go up against Bayern Munich in the DFL-Supercup.
