The first Der Klassiker of the 2021/22 season takes place on Tuesday, as Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich lock horns in the DFL-Supercup.

The curtain-raising DFL-Supercup pits last season’s DFB-Pokal winners Borussia Dortmund against the defending Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich. And with a trophy on the line, we could be in for another entertaining battle between the two German heavyweights.

Borussia Dortmund have started their season with two impressive wins. And with Erling Haaland scoring and assisting goals for fun, they look to be in excellent form at the moment.

Bayern Munich, on the other hand, could only manage a 1-1 draw in their season opener against Borussia Mönchengladbach. Julian Nagelsmann will be looking for his first win as Bayern head coach on Tuesday. But he does not have the best of records against the Black and Yellows. Marco Rose will have to make do without a number of key players against Bayern.

A total of 25,000 supporters will be at the Signal Iduna Park on Tuesday to watch Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich face off in the DFL-Supercup.
