Erling Haaland is being linked with a shock move to Paris St. Germain. Michael Zorc has now rubbished claims that the striker could leave Borussia Dortmund this month.
The transfer window slams shut on Tuesday and rumours are in full swing at the moment. Erling Haaland, who has been linked with a move away from Borussia Dortmund all summer long, is now said to be attracting the interest of Paris St. Germain. The French giants are reportedly looking to sign Haaland to replace Kylian Mbappe, who could join Real Madrid.
Michael Zorc was asked about the latest Haaland rumours on Sunday. And the Borussia Dortmund sporting director repeated what he has been saying all summer long. “I assume that we will now be confronted with wild rumors for another two days. Our position is clear, I don’t need to play the parrot all the time,” Zorc told Kicker.
Despite all the speculation surrounding Haaland’s future, Borussia Dortmund have been clear on their stance since day one. And the 21 year old has also stated on numerous occasions that he is very happy in Dortmund.
Haaland still has three years left on his contract, so the BVB bosses aren’t under any pressure to sell him. His contract does contain a release clause, which will reportedly come into effect next summer. A number of clubs are expected to be in the queue to sign him then. Real Madrid, Barcelona, Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United are all said to be interested in signing Haaland.
Haaland has made an impressive start to the season with Borussia Dortmund. He has six goals and three assists to his name in just five appearances so far, and netted a 91st minute winner against Hoffenheim on Friday.
