Midfielders: Axel Witsel, Mahmoud Dahoud, Jude Bellingham

With Gio Reyna ruled out, Axel Witsel comes into the team in the holding midfield role. The Belgian international will hope to bring some stability and composure to the BVB midfield. He faces the tough task of keeping the talented Florian Wirtz quiet.

Mahmoud Dahoud starts in a slightly more advanced role with Axel Witsel back in defensive midfield. The German international has made a strong start to the season. And it will be interesting to see what role he plays against Bayer Leverkusen.

Jude Bellingham is also in fine form going into the game. He scored his first goal of the season and also assisted Gio Reyna’s opener against Hoffenheim just before the international break. And he will be aiming to dominate the midfield battle against Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday.
