Axel Witsel (5/10)

Witsel lost the ball in the build-up to Augsburg’s goal. Some might say that the tackle from behind should have been considered a foul, but the Belgian international took too long on the ball and allowed Augsburg to dispossess him. He did not always look comfortable against Maier and started to tire as the game went on.

Jude Bellingham (6.5/10)

Bellingham put in another tireless and committed shift in midfield for Borussia Dortmund. He was also heavily involved in several counter attacks and set up a glorious chance for Thorgan Hazard in the second half.

Julian Brandt (7/10)

Brandt scored what proved to be the winner for Borussia Dortmund with a well taken strike from the edge of the box. The playmaker wasn’t always able to cause problems going forward, but he did play some neat passes and managed to make a strong impression on the 41,000 supporters at the Signal Iduna Park. He also made some vital defensive contributions for the team.
