Karim Adeyemi is being heavily linked with a move to the Bundesliga, with Borussia Dortmund among the clubs interested in signing him. Now the striker has commented on the rumours.
Karim Adeyemi’s future has been the subject of a lot of speculation in recent weeks, with Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Munich, RB Leipzig and Liverpool all reportedly in the race to sign him. It is being reported that the highly rated striker will leave RB Salzburg this summer, and his future could even be decided in January.
Adeyemi has made an excellent start to the season and continued his fine run of form on Wednesday by scoring in RB Salzburg’s UEFA Champions League group stage win over VfL Wolfsburg. After the game, the 19 year old spoke about the transfer speculation. He said that he was honoured to be linked with these big clubs, but added that he is only focused on RB Salzburg at the moment.
"“I’m very relaxed about it,” Adeyemi told Sky Sport Austria. “I feel honored. But that’s all. I have my focus here at Salzburg. First of all, I want to progress to the round of 16 with Salzburg. Then we’ll see what happens.”"
Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich have already held concrete talks with Adeyemi’s representatives. And it is thought that he would prefer a move to the German Bundesliga in the summer. RB Salzburg reportedly want a fee in the region of 30-35 million euros for the striker.
Adeyemi has scored 12 goals in just 17 appearances for RB Salzburg this season, including three goals in three UEFA Champions League appearances. His performances for the Austrian giants also saw him earn his first call-up to the Germany squad in September. And he marked his Germany debut with a goal in their World Cup qualifier against Armenia.
