Gio Reyna has been out with a hamstring injury for more than a month now. But it still remains to be seen when the Borussia Dortmund midfielder will be back in action.

Gio Reyna suffered a hamstring injury while playing for the United States national team in September. It was announced then that he would be out for a month. The Borussia Dortmund midfielder appeared to be closing in on his comeback earlier this month, when it was reported that he will be back in action in the near future. But now Marco Rose has revealed that there is no indication at the moment as to when he will be back.

"During his press conference ahead of Saturday’s Bundesliga clash against Arminia Bielefeld, Marco Rose said:“We are stretched thin in attack because we’re also missing Gio Reyna and there’s no sign yet as to when he’ll be back. But we accept that and we will try to find ways and means to still win games.”"

Gio Reyna started the season in fine form and scored two goals in five appearances for the Black and Yellows before suffering his injury. And his absence has certainly been felt in the eight games he has missed so far.

With Erling Haaland and Youssoufa Moukoko also injured, Borussia Dortmund are now a bit short of options in attack. Haaland has been ruled out for the next few weeks with a hip flexor injury. While Rose said on Friday that he hopes to have Moukoko back in the squad for the home game against FC Köln next weekend.

Borussia Dortmund still have five more games to play before the next international break. And Marco Rose will be hoping that his team can get the job done despite their long injury list.
