Borussia Dortmund’s injury situation is slowly getting better with Raphael Guerreiro back in team training after spending a month out on the sidelines.

Borussia Dortmund have been forced to deal with a raft of injury problems this season, with more than ten players currently sidelined through injuries. But the injury crisis is finally showing signs of easing up now, with Raphael Guerreiro back in training.

Borussia Dortmund have announced that Raphael Guerreiro is back on the pitch and completed parts of team training on Monday. The left-back suffered a torn muscle fibre on international duty with Portugal in early October and has been out ever since. But he is now closing in on his return, and the Black and Yellows will be hoping to have him available for their next Bundesliga game (against VfB Stuttgart on November 20).

Guerreiro is an important player for Borussia Dortmund and his absence down the left flank has been heavily felt in recent weeks. The 27 year old has scored three goals in just six Bundesliga appearances for Dortmund this season.

Borussia Dortmund also remain hopeful that Mahmoud Dahoud, Nico Schulz, Emre Can and Marius Wolf will be able to return to training and increase their workload in the coming days. There is also hope that Gregor Kobel will be fit for the Stuttgart game despite withdrawing from the Switzerland squad due to a hip injury.

However, Erling Haaland and Gio Reyna remain out for now and it remains to be seen whether they will be able to play again before the winter break.
