Borussia Dortmund reportedly interested in signing Dusan Vlahovic but asking price is a hurdle

Borussia Dortmund are said to be interested in signing Dusan Vlahovic, but Fiorentina’s asking price for the striker could make a potential move impossible. 

With Erling Haaland attracting the interest of some of the richest clubs in Europe, Borussia Dortmund are searching for a potential replacement. One of the names they are said to be interested in is Dusan Vlahovic. And Sport1 report that the BVB bosses have already held talks with the striker’s agent.

However, the report adds that Vlahovic’s club Fiorentina have set an asking price of 80 million euros for the highly rated striker. And that would make him too expensive for Borussia Dortmund. Vlahovic is wanted by a number of clubs in Europe, with the likes of Juventus, Real Madrid, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur all reportedly in the race for his signature.

Vlahovic is considered to be one of the best young strikers in the world, and has scored ten goals in just 13 appearances across all competitions for Fiorentina this season. The Serbian international has less than two years left on his contract with the Italian side, and he has already refused to sign an extension. So the likelihood is that he will leave the club next summer.

Borussia Dortmund are also in the race to sign Karim Adeyemi from RB Salzburg. However, the Black and Yellows do not consider the German international as a potential replacement for Erling Haaland. Adeyemi is set to leave RB Salzburg in the summer, and BVB are among the favorites for his signature.
