Sebastien Haller and Patrik Schick are reportedly on Borussia Dortmund’s list of potential targets to replace Erling Haaland if he decides to leave the club in the summer.

Borussia Dortmund are hoping to convince Erling Haaland to stay at the club beyond the end of the season. And reports claim that they are even prepared to double his salary. But with several big clubs across Europe interested in signing the Norwegian international, the BVB bosses are looking at alternative options in case he decides to leave.

According to SportBILD, AFC Ajax’s Sebastien Haller and Bayer Leverkusen’s Patrik Schick are two names Borussia Dortmund could consider signing if Haaland decides to leave the club in the summer. Both strikers are enjoying impressive seasons with their respective clubs, and would certainly not be cheap.

Sebastien Haller has been scoring goals for fun since joining AFC Ajax earlier this year. The former Eintracht Frankfurt striker has scored 20 goals in just 23 appearances for the Dutch side this season. Ten of those goals have come in the UEFA Champions League, including two against Borussia Dortmund. SportBILD claim that a move for Haller would cost Dortmund 40 million euros.

Patrik Schick has also been in fine goalscoring form of late. The Bayer Leverkusen striker has 16 goals to his name in just 14 Bundesliga appearances this season. Only Robert Lewandowski has scored more goals than him in the Bundesliga going into the winter break.

Both Haller and Schick have three and a half years left on their current contracts with their respective clubs. Another striker who has been linked with a move to Borussia Dortmund in recent weeks is SL Benfica’s Darwin Núñez.
